課程概述與目標(Course Overview and Goals):Description: This course builds upon students' listening and speaking foundation developed in the first-year program by focusing on interactive communication, critical listening, and meaningful spoken responses. Students will engage with authentic English speeches, interviews, workplace conversations, and TOEIC Listening materials. Through guided listening, note-taking, summarizing, group discussions, and task-based speaking activities, students will learn to analyze speakers' messages, identify purposes and perspectives, and respond effectively. A variety of collaborative activities, including decision-making tasks, problem-solving discussions, campus interviews, and ranking activities, are designed to encourage active participation, teamwork, and practical language use. Selected TOEIC Listening exercises and GEPT/TOEIC/IELTS speaking practice are integrated throughout the semester to strengthen listening strategies, improve oral communication skills, and connect test preparation with practical communication.
*Objective (SPEAK)
1. Summarize spoken information and organize key ideas clearly.
2. Participate actively in discussions and collaborative speaking activities.
3. Evaluate different perspectives, choices, and solutions with logical reasons.
4. Apply listening and speaking strategies from TOEIC and GEPT formats.
5. Keep communicating effectively in academic, social, and workplace contexts.
教科書(Textbook) Handouts, discussion materials, and electronic resources will be provided.
