課程概述與目標: The purpose of this course is to help students get a general understanding of the development of Western literature, especially the origin of Western literature and civilization. In this semester, the course will commence with the perennially asked question: "What is literature?" before dealing with the main focus on Greek and Roman mythology as a significant source of Western literature. Students are required to read assigned readings before class in order to participate in class discussion. They will have to work in pairs signing up for one oral presentation based on the assigned readings. | |||||
