課程概述與目標(Course Overview and Goals): The course is designed to familiarize students with major foreign language teaching Arts/ learning methods and materials of the 20th century, from a theoretical and practical viewpoint. This exploration intends to help students to understand some of the history, traditions, practices and vocabulary of teaching profession. It is envisioned that such exploration will provide students with insights about students’ teaching and learning experiences which would form a foundation for their own future teaching. The course is part of the service learning program conducted and implemented at Tatung University. By collaborating with Tatung Senior High School, the course offers students opportunities to practice what they learn in class in authentic teaching and learning context through the process of providing English as well as Mandarin tutoring services to the high school students.
