課程概述與目標(Course Overview and Goals)： In this course you will develop the vocabulary and skills needed to discuss and evaluate media production and storytelling across different media formats, as well as basic media studies knowledge. We will compare the styles of transmedia production in Japan and America, using popular franchises, such as Marvel, Harry Potter, and various Japanese Manga/Anime titles. For the final assignment, students will do research on a media property that interests them, giving them a chance to develop their research, academic writing, critical thinking, and analytic skills. The course will use English ONLY.
