課程概述與目標(Course Overview and Goals)：This course introduces students to the fundamental principles and practices of language testing and assessment. Students will learn to understand different test and assessment types, consider validity, reliability, purpose, context, and learner needs, and examine how assessment influences teaching and learning. Through the analysis, evaluation, and design of vocabulary, grammar, reading, listening, writing, and speaking assessments, students will develop the ability to make informed and context-sensitive assessment decisions. By the end of the course, students will be able to design an original language assessment, explain the reasoning behind their design choices, and evaluate and revise assessment tasks based on course principles and test-taking experience.
