課程概述與目標(Course Overview and Goals):This course focuses on introducing smart devices and their integrated application systems, including IoT (Internet of Things) products, sensing technologies, and robots. It covers the basic principles and conceptual knowledge of these devices and explains the relevant applications of service robots through research cases and specific examples from around the world. The course design includes case studies, classroom discussions, group discussions, and system implementation (with flexible adjustments), which will help learners without an engineering background to understand the trends in intelligent service systems and service robots. Additionally, it provides insights into the development and applications of robots in industries such as manufacturing, commerce, finance, service, and education.

Teaching Objectives:

Understand the conceptual knowledge of ICT (Internet and Communication Technology).
Observe the trends in intelligent service systems and service robots.
Comprehend the development and applications of robots in industries such as manufacturing, commerce, service, and education.
Guide learners to understand how to integrate multiple technological elements for system design and development.
Establish cross-disciplinary knowledge and critical thinking skills for learners.
