課程概述與目標(Course Overview and Goals):Thermodynamics is a key engineering science which provides a means of quantifying and predicting the equilibrium states of any material. The fundamental concepts and laws of thermodynamics, and the thermodynamic properties of materials and their relationships will be introduced in the first part of the course. The treatment is mainly within the scope of classical thermodynamics. However, development of some basic concepts of statistical thermodynamics will also be covered. In the second part of the course, applications of the thermodynamic principals and techniques to the phase and chemical equilibria in various systems will be presented.
